Right Wing pundits and other sore losers apparently believe it is their duty to look for anything--ANYTHING!--that might diminish the President's popularity. There is nothing too small for them to jump on and if they can't find anything, they will just make something up.
Case in point:
Mike Krzyzewski, the venerable basketball coach of Duke University was asked about President Obama's picks in the NCAA tournament. As it happens, Obama did not pick Duke to win, so Coach K offhandedly said: "As much as I respect what he's doing, really, the economy is something that he should focus on, probably more than the brackets."
This prompted The Drudge Report to lead today with a headline that says Duke coach "slam dunks Obama." Fox News went with "Duke coach to Obama: Worry about the economy, not NCAA picks." To Obamaphobics this is a big big story.
Just wonderin': If Obama had picked Duke to win it all do you think Coach K would have had the same response? Would Drudge and/or Fox report it the same way if they didn't have total contempt for our President?
Yes I know this is all pretty obvious, but this is the kind of crap that made me get off my ass and start a blog. (In actuality, I only had to get of my ass to get the laptop. Now I'm back on my ass but I am communicating with the world--theoretically.)
